Using a Custom Outbound E-Invoice Template (Ecosio Only)

ZoneCapture lets you supply a custom outbound e-invoice XML template so you can include data that isn't covered by the default template for a country.

Important: This feature is only available for Ecosio E-Document stations. Custom outbound templates are not supported for Basware.

Overview

ZoneCapture generates outbound e-invoices from a default XML template per country. If the default template does not cover data you need to include in the e-invoice, you can supply your own customized template instead. This is an advanced, optional feature intended for administrators and implementation consultants.

Setting up a custom template

1. Copy the default outbound XML template for the relevant country.
2. Add the XML node or nodes you need to your copy of the template, including a placeholder for the value to be inserted.
3. Navigate to Setup > ZoneCapture Setup > ZoneCapture Main Configuration, open the E-Documents subtab, and set your custom template in the field labeled ZC E-Document Template.
4. Create a send data field mapping so the placeholder you added in step 2 is populated with the correct value when ZoneCapture generates the e-invoice.

Important: This release does not validate custom templates. If a custom template contains an error, you will only discover it when an e-invoice fails to send. Test custom templates thoroughly in a sandbox environment before using them in production.
