Overview
The native NetSuite Administrator role has full access to all Zone AP Payments functionality. For all other users, permissions must be configured on a custom user role. Use the methods below to adjust permissions manually or by comparing against the bundled ZC AP User role.
Adjusting user permissions manually
Follow these steps to locate and update the permissions on a custom user role.
- Identify the user's current role by checking the upper-right corner of the NetSuite interface while logged in as that user. The active role is displayed there.
- Log in as an Administrator and navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.
-
Locate the relevant role in the list and click Edit.
Important: If the role shows only a Customize link instead of Edit, it is a default NetSuite role. Customize it before making changes.
- Select the Permissions tab, then select the Custom Record subtab.
- Use the pick-list to add the required permissions, then set the appropriate access level for each.
Adjusting user permissions using role comparison
Zone AP Payments includes a bundled user role called ZC AP User. This role contains all permissions required for a standard employee to configure and use Zone AP Payments. Use it as a baseline to identify gaps in a custom role.
- Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Show Role Difference.
- In the Base Role field, select your custom role.
- In the Compare To field, select ZC AP User.
- Click Show to generate the comparison.
- Review the results. The next screen lists all differences between the 2 roles.
Important: Permissions on your custom user role must be equal to or higher than those on the ZC AP User role. For example, if a permission is set to None on your custom role but Full on ZC AP User, update the custom role to match.
