This page explains how to configure the ZoneCapture OCR Station.
General information
ZoneCapture supports document scanning with OCR technology. An OCR station will be set up in many cases by the implementation consultant, but when needed the steps can be completed by the end-user. The ZoneCapture OCR Station record support three different environments where the release preview isn’t set up by default. The following environments are supported:
- Production
- Sandbox
- Release Preview
Create OCR station
To create a new ZoneCapture OCR station navigate to Setup > ZoneCapture Setup > ZoneCapture OCR Stations > New. A new page will open that allows creating a new OCR station record.
Populate the following fields:
- Name: Enter in this field a name for the new entry. We recommend keeping this really specific so that it is clear what purpose the record serves.
- OCR Station Type: Select the EU Scanning Station Vendor Bills (NN) option
- Inactive: Leave this checkbox empty. When enabled the OCR Station configuration record will not be active and the SuiteApp will not be using the configured data. Please be sure that inactive configuration is never used on any of the Main or Subsidiary configurations to avoid downtime in processing or loss of data.
After populating the required fields please press Save button.
Once the record is successfully saved, as a next step find a created record and click EDIT.
A new button appears “Request OCR Station”.
Click the Request OCR Station button and wait for the script to populate API Key and Model ID.
The built-in logic will check whether there is an existing OCR model created for the related NetSuite account ID and it will automatically fill in the data in the respective tab (Production, Release Preview, Sandbox) based on which account you are currently logged in.
Please note, the button will be available only if there is an active license for the NetSuite account that you work with.
When data is populated, click Save.
Production settings
Data visible in this section should be populated on production account in order to use OCR service.
Sandbox settings
Data visible in this section should be populated on sandbox accounts in order to use OCR service.
Multiple sandboxes: In many cases a sandbox is populated with data by performing a refresh from the live environment. When multiple sandboxes are connected with a live environment then all of them will use the same OCR Station.
Release preview settings
Data visible in this section should be populated on release preview accounts in order to use OCR service.
Update OCR Station
After the refresh of the sandbox account it might happen that OCR Station record exists but it does not have any credentials dedicated for sandbox account. To retrieve missing credentials navigate to Setup > ZoneCapture Setup > ZoneCapture OCR Stations and click Edit on existing active OCR station.
Click the button Update Connection Settings and let the script to populate data in he Sandbox Settings tab.
When data is populated, click Save.
