ZoneCapture lets you send e-invoices to customers manually or automatically, and provides status tracking so you can confirm whether documents were delivered.

Sending an e-invoice
You can send an e-invoice to a customer in 2 ways:
- Manually: Click Send E-Document after saving an invoice. This button only appears if you've set up the customer for e-invoicing.
- Automatically: Select the Automatically Send E-Documents checkbox on the customer record. For e-invoices to send successfully, make sure you've completed the general configuration correctly, as described in Setting Up the ZoneCapture Subsidiary Configuration Record.
Important (Ecosio only): If you click Send E-Document on a transaction whose recipient country isn't currently supported, ZoneCapture shows a popup titled "Sending Not Supported" instead of sending the document, with the message: "Sending e-documents is currently not supported for the recipient country: [country]."
Tip: The saved search "ZC E-Invoicing Sending Queue" shows all transactions currently queued for sending. Once ZoneCapture sends a document, it disappears from this saved search.
Tip: Send an e-invoice to a customer manually before marking the customer for automatic sending, so you can catch and resolve any errors immediately.
After ZoneCapture sends an e-invoice, it retrieves status notifications regularly and displays them on the invoice record under the Sent E-documents Attempts and E-invoice API Notifications sublists. Monitor these notifications to confirm whether ZoneCapture delivered your documents. You can also include these notifications in a saved search and display them on your dashboard.
Tracking the status of e-invoices
To get an overview of the e-invoices you've sent, navigate to the dashboard portlet:
The portlet only displays an e-invoicing section when at least 1 record exists in the related saved search. For example, if you have no failed e-invoices, ZoneCapture hides that section.
When you click a section, such as Sent E-invoices, ZoneCapture opens the saved search listing the records with more detail:
You can also view details for each invoice record under the Billing subtab:
