In this article, we explain how a form can be altered
General Information
NetSuite provides end users the option to change the order of the fields on almost any type of record. In NetSuite terminology, this is called forms. A form is basically an HTML layout of input fields that allows the end user to enter or change data on a record. ZoneCapture uses some custom records where ZoneCapture provides by default an optimized layout but also bundles some fields on native NetSuite records. In many cases, these fields are visible on the default form, but often not on customized forms or in a not logical order. To optimize the user experience it is recommended to follow this article in full or at least for the record types where the overview is not logical.
Native NetSuite Records
In this section all native records are mentioned and what is possible to change or recommend to change.
Item Record
On the item record, ZoneCapture provides an additional sub-section where the user can define the 3-Way Match logic. On customized forms, this section will not be visible and if visible potentially the fields aren't logically ordered. To make the ZoneCapture subsection visible navigate to an item and press the blue button labeled "Edit". On the top right corner there is an option labeled "Customise" When you hover the mouse over this option it is possible to select the option "Customise Form". When pressed a new page will open that allows altering the currently used form from the item.
On the new page that opens first enable the Subtab named "ZoneCapture" by enabling the checbox as shown in the picture below
The next step is to enable the fields. Navigate to the sub-section named "Fields" and then select the sub-section name "ZoneCapture:3-Way Matching" (not visible on the print screen). In this section make sure the fields are all enabled with the checkbox and in the exact same order as in the print screen. Also, enable the column break as mentioned in the print screen. Now press save and open the item again. The ZoneCapture subtab should be visible.
Vendor/Supplier Record
On the vendor/supplier record, ZoneCapture provides additional sub-sections where the user can define additional vendor logic for ZoneCapture. On customized forms, these sections will not be visible and if visible potentially the fields aren't logically ordered. To make the ZoneCapture subsection visible navigate to an vendor/supplier and press the blue button labeled "Edit". On the top right corner there is an option labeled "Customise" When you hover the mouse over this option it is possible to select the option "Customise Form". When pressed a new page will open that allows altering the currently used form from the item.
The next step is to enable the ZoneCapture subtab by enabling the checkbox as shown in the print screen. In certain accounts it could be that this tab is still mentioned under "Scan & Capture".
The next step is to enable the fields for each section ZoneCapture provides. A list of all the sections is listed below with the recommendation for each section. Also in this part, it could be that the ZoneCapture name is listed as Scan&Capture.
- ZoneCapture: Recommended to fully enable all fields
- ZoneCapture: General Settings: Recommended to fully enable all fields
- ZoneCapture: Basware Settings: Only enable if E-invoicing is used
- ZoneCapture: System Variable: Only needed for debugging matching issues by default its not needed
- ZoneCapture: Vendor: Recommend to fully enable all fields
- ZoneCapture: 3-way Matching: Recommended to fully enable all fields and adjust the order
For all sections, the order of the fields isn't impacting except for section 3-Way Matching. We recommend using the following setting for an optimized user experience
Now save the form and open the vendor again. The ZoneCapture subtab should be visible.
